The release date was 8/10- but they are still on "pre-order" or unavailable. I hope this doesn't mean that the doll was cancelled... anyone manage to get one from the madame alexander site?

ack.. those dolls completely slipped my mind until you posted this..
*falls over*
more things i can't afford, and need to obsess over!
i really hope it's not canceled, they were adorable.
and now that i remember that i wanted one.. i want one!

I saw one pop up on ebay (same price as the madamealex website). The seller appears to be a madame alex dealer, so the shippment for these dolls was probably delayed - or just barely got in.
However, it worried me that the Madam Alex website still says they will get these dolls in on 8/15 or something, and also the seller only had one.
So I bought it on the off chance (albiet low) that the line got cancelled or something.

Not yet- just got an email saying that it shipped so soon. I promise to post a pic when I do :D here is the stock photo from the auction-  I checked the Madam Alex site again and she is still not in stock....

Yay! She came today- couldn't figure out how to post a pic from my phone - so I posted one on the rainbowbrite.net Facebook page. She is not qute as nice as the marketing photo above- but still very cute!
